March 23, 2007: Millennium Airship Inc. forms Skyfreighter Canada Ltd. We are continuing to work with several companies and entities within Canada to identify specific missions and to put together a partnership to collectively initiate and sustain the Canadian effort.

June 13, 2008: Millennium Airship has gone 'green' by choosing hydrogen as a replacemant for Jet A fuel. Hydrogen promises to alleviate the problems caused by the use of Jet A fuel. It is compatible with gas turbine engines; supplies the ame BTU energy with 2X tankage volume; and supplies the same BTU energy for about 43% of the weight, which equates to a 15 gallon gas tank holding 90 lbs. of gas and the same size tank holding 60 gallons of hydrogen at 34 lbs. Where as hydrogen fuel systems require a large volume of space to hold the cryogenic tanks and therefore can not be accommodated on normal jet aircraft, hybrid heavy lift aircraft do not have the same constraints and hydrogen is a viable candidate for fuel. Even though the price of hydrogen should be as volatile as a carbon based fuel, the commercial methods for obtaining hydrogen must be expanded and the price per gallon reduced.
August 15, 2008: Millennium Airship is investigating the possibility of establishing our manufacturing facility in Wyoming. Ongoing investigations of the pros and cons of building our manufacturing facility in Wyoming continues. Several key pros to this move include: the SGL Carbon Fiber plant near Evanston; the large coal deposits and the ongoing processing of the coal could provide a ready source of hydrogen; and the abundance of natural gas and the corresponding helium plants could make sufficient quantities of helium available for the aircraft. The impact of the high altitude and weather, however, are possible detriments to flying the aircraft in this region. We are working with a land development company and the business councils in two regions.
